I haven’t heard anything about Matthew Vaughn’s film Kick-Ass, other than the fact that christopher mintz-plasse is in the cast, but I just watched the new trailer and I’m instantly excited. It totally answers the question that I’ve always asked myself: “why aren’t there any superheroes out there?”
I think it would be really cool if there were. Also, holy shit! Nic Cage is in the movie! I’m excited about a Nic Cage movie!
There’s been something big brewing underneath the Paradise Pier lagoon at Disney’s California Adventure for some time now, and the second gate in Anaheim is getting closer yet to debuting what is sure to be one of the best theme park productions ever. Disney’s World of Color is sure to be an amazing spectacle, and one of the flagship components of the park’s extensive refurbishment.
Disney released a video today showing some new tests they’ve been conduction on the fire blasts that will be part of the show. Every time I see something related to the World of Color I get more excited.
There’s no question that Michael Cera is a pretty darn funny guy (We’ll forget about Year One…). That’s one of the reasons we’re recommending that you go see Youth in Revolt this weekend. Maybe it’s because I feel like I need to get myself into a little more trouble here and there, but I really dig the idea of someone creating an alternate personality that’s a bit on the darker side.
The trailer looks great, the move is rocking a 76% on Rotten Tomatoes right now, and actress Portia Doubleday is pretty darn hot. That’s why Youth in Revolt gets Chunkattack’s pick of the week.
Of course, if you’re not into the whole comedy thing, check out the new vampire flick called Daybreakers, whose premise is pretty darn refreshing considering all the Twilight craps we geeks have had to put up with lately.
